shipping & delivery

DO YOU DELIVER?

Yes! Delivery fees are calculated based on mileage and time. We encourage delivery of two and three-tiered cakes to ensure your cake is in pieces only after you’ve cut into it.

HOW ABOUT PICKUP?

Yes and yes. Please note that once the cake leaves the kitchen, Weesh Bake Shop is not responsible for damage to cakes when collected and transported by the customer. Keep that precious babe on the floor of your car or in the trunk during transport – no laps or on seats. Lastly, please please please carry the cake on the bottom! I’ve seen a few cakes ruined because you guys just want to squeeze it from the sides! She’s fragile so be kind.

3-4 hours before your celebration, take the cake out of the refrigerator so the buttercream can come to room temperature and soften up.

DO YOU SHIP?

Not yet, but working on it.

care & serving instructions

HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE?

Your cake should be stored in the refrigerator on a flat surface until a few hours before serving.

Take the cake out of the box 2-4 hours before your event – it is sturdiest when it’s cold and easiest to transfer to your cake stand. Room temperature will soften up your cake, but don’t leave your cake in the heat where the buttercream can melt! Lastly, be mindful of any powerful smells in your fridge – onions, garlic, tuna salad, you name it – it can seep into your cake. Otherwise, the frosting serves as a shield and keeps the inside moist (“but I hate that word!”) so it will stay fresh for a few days before enjoying!

WHAT ABOUT AFTER I CUT IT?

Air is the enemy for a dry cake, so cover the exposed piece with plastic wrap. You can also cut the cake into slices and put in Tupperware! Cake slices freeze wonderfully if you don’t think you’ll enjoy it over the next few days – you can take piece out to enjoy whenever you d*mn please. To freeze an entire cake, place the cake in the freezer for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes or more, cover the cake with plastic wrap and tin foil and place back in the freezer. When you are ready to thaw the cake, put the cake in the fridge the night before you’d like to enjoy to avoid temperature shock and condensation. That morning, take the plastic wrap off and let the cake continue to thaw out on the counter for the day at room temperature.

HOW SHOULD I CUT MY CAKE?

However you’d like – you can take a fork to it if you prefer, but this method will ensure the most servings and is the easiest for taller cakes.
