Weesh Bake Shop started as a small-batch custom cake workshop on Birch Street in June 2021. What began as a passion project quickly grew into something bigger—because you asked for it! In March 2023, we opened our doors for retail, bringing fresh bakes, seasonal flavors, and a whole lot of joy to our weekend visitors.
We're open for you to stop by every Saturday! Come visit us from 9 AM - 1 PM for fresh-baked treats—no pre-order needed.
You'll find tarts, cookies, cake jars, cupcakes, and more waiting for you. Prefer to plan ahead? Pre-order online and pick up your bakes on Fridays (12-2 PM) or during retail hours.
Hosting an event? Our Weesh Graze & Tart Table is the perfect option for catering and custom orders.

how weesh came to be
meet Elyse: the heart behind Weesh
I’ve always found joy in the little things—like the smell of freshly baked cake, the perfect golden tart, or the way a shared dessert can bring people together. What started as my love for recreating nostalgic treats turned into Weesh, a bake shop built on the idea that food should be playful, indulgent, and a little bit magical. With a background in custom cakes and a deep love for flavors that spark memories, I create desserts meant to be savored, shared, and enjoyed—no occasion necessary.
As a kid, I wasn’t the adventurous eater you might expect. My family nicknamed me “Suspicious Foods” because I wouldn’t touch anything unfamiliar. One Thanksgiving, I stubbornly filled my plate with nothing but buttered peas, declaring, “I’ll eat something when I see something I like.” Fig Newtons? Absolutely not.
But things change. Over time, I fell in love with flavors that sparked memories—foods that transport you back to a moment in time. Twisting Oreos in the cafeteria, microwaving marshmallows for makeshift s’mores, sneaking Pop’ems to the backyard swingset so I wouldn’t have to share.
And while Suspicious Foods was one nickname, the other was Weesh—the one that stuck and became the heart of this bake shop. Now, I pour that same nostalgia and joy into everything I make. It may not be your exact childhood snack, but my hope is that every bite brings that same feeling—indulgent, surprising, comforting.
Because food isn’t just something to eat—it’s a reason to pause, share, and savor the moment.
